Scuba Diving – Rescue Course

This was my first weekend of the rescue diver course, Saturday was a classroom session followed by a pool session on the Sunday.
This was an important course for me as it is one of the pre-requirements of me being able to do my PADI Dive master which is what I require for my stunt register application.
Had a really good day on the Saturday leaning about all the different injuries and hazards when diving and the difference between a victim and a patient. The Sunday practical session in the pool was really good fun and a lot of hard work. the idea of the pool session was to prepare us for the second weekend of training which would involve a lot more practice and then finally a scenario day.

Again a massive THANKS to Denise and Derek at Sussex Scuba.

Scuba Diving – EFR (Emergency First Responder)

At the weekend I attended a one day course to be able to pass my EFR course.

This coure is the pre-req for me to be able to start my PADI rescue diver course that I am booked on later this year. The succesuly completion of this course should I hope allow me to start my internship to train towards my PADI Master qualification.

Had a great day learning all about the AB-CABS the cycle of care, from Derek who is a great instructor at Sussex Scuba. Spent the afternoon doing some scenarios, which allowed me to practice some of my acting skills, and then finally the exam.

Good news was that I managed to sucessfully pass the course and know getting ready for this weekend and my PADI Advanced diving course.
