Trampoline – Back to Training

So after not training for a couple of months I decided to find another place to train whilst waiting for Brian to start his new courses.

Thankfully a friend of mine suggested I look at Fun Abound in Uckfield. I gave them a call and started going on a Tuesday evening under the guidance of Catherine and all the other coaches, really amazing place.  It is a 45 minute lesson and then I stay for a 30 minute Jump fit session to help with my overall trampoline ability.

Horse Riding – Andy Butcher

Let me start by saying what a “Legend” this man is, to surmise Andy has been in the stunt business for at least 10 years, he has performed in numerous TV and film productions,  is was an honor to meet him let alone to get the opportunity to be taught by him.

Andy’s farm is an amazing place with some amazing horses.  But that’s enough about that now the painful part.

I spent a day with Andy being shown how to ride horses how to fight people on horses and how to attack and defend from horse back.  Andy is a brilliant teacher who does not mess about and demands high effort at all times, he is  hard but fair man and I had an absolutely amazing day with him and his family.

Loved his mums cakes.

I left with a very sore behind and a plan of action, which involved taking a few weeks to do some lunge lessons and get a better seat whilst riding.

Horse Riding – A Refresher

After booking to go and see Andy, I thought it might be best to book a quick refresher ride so on a friends advice a gave Easy View Riding Centre a call who arranged a gentle hour farm ride with them.

I arrived at the centre and met by a lovely lady who quickly had me in the saddle for an enjoyable but slightly painful hour farm ride with lots of walking and some rising trot.
